Nickelodeon’s first original series in five years, Middlemost Post comes from SpongeBob SquarePants’ alum John Trabbic III. That’s how our three heroes come to meet the Recycle King.

In the upcoming ”BURT! The Musical,” Angus the mailman (John DiMaggio) accidentally throws away Parker the former raincloud’s (Becky Robinson) friend Burt. Burt, as you can see in the clip above, is a made of old boxes and recycled goods. As these three pals try to find Parker’s buddy, they come across the Recycle King, who does not want to give him up. What better way to claim a new reusable friend than though song? Porter belts out about Burt as gleefully as he once sang “Love Yourself.” Along the way he’ll teach these friends that everything has its place in a world of waste.

In addition to DiMaggio and Robinson, Middlemost Post stars Kiren (Raising Hope) as Lily, Parker’s best friend and a master inventor; Colton Dunn (Superstore) as Mayor Peeve; and Johnny Pemberton (In the Loop) as Ryan, Mayor Peeve’s assistant. Trabbic serves as the series’ creator as well as its executive producer. Dave Johnson serves as co-executive producer as well as story editor. New episodes premiere Friday nights in the United States and are set to premiere internationally in the fall.
