Jessica Penne returns from suspension, fights Hannah Goldy at UFC 260

Jessica Penne’s career is not over, despite her initial fears.

After striking a deal with United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) back in Feb. 2020, the former Invicta atomweight champion will make her long-awaited return to the Octagon against “Contender Series” standout Hannah Goldy.

Where and when?

The UFC 260: “Miocic vs. Ngannou 2” pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for March 27. The card does not have a home just yet, but it’s expected to take place in either Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi, with limited fans in attendance.

Prior to her timeout, Penne (12-5) was trying to find her way in the crowded 115-pound march to the title. She didn’t have much luck, losing three straight fights after a successful debut at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 in late 2014.

As for Goldy (5-1), she stumbled out of the gate in her UFC debut in Aug. 2019, going down on points to the rough-and-tumble Miranda Granger. Not unreasonable to think this strawweight showdown is a “loser leaves town” fight, based on their current records.

In addition to the heavyweight headliner, UFC 260 will also feature the featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega. Elsewhere on the card, Jimmy Crute and Johnny Walker hook ‘em up at 205 pounds.
