Less than two weeks after a potentially life-saving trade, Caris LeVert is on the road to recovery.

The former Nets guard, who was dealt to the Pacers as part of the James Harden blockbuster — leading to a physical that revealed a small mass on his left kidney — underwent successful surgery Monday to treat kidney cancer, the Pacers announced Tuesday.

“No further treatment is needed,” the team said in a statement. “Caris is expected to make a full recovery and will be out indefinitely.”

Had LeVert not been included in the trade, it’s impossible to know when the issue may have been discovered, as the 26-year-old said he was feeling healthy.

After LeVert’s physical held up the trade, the Nets eventually sent cash and an additional second-round pick (via Cleveland) to the Pacers to complete the deal.

“In a way this trade showed and revealed what was going on in my body,” LeVert said last week. “So I’m definitely looking at it from that side and definitely humbled to know that that this trade could have saved me in the long run.”
