T-Mobile experiencing nationwide network problems

Cell phone carrier giant T-Mobile was experiencing country-wide network problems Monday, according to a report.

Customers of the mobile phone provider — along with those using other carriers — were experiencing issues making calls according to Downdetector and irate Twitter posts, the Verge reported.

It was not immediately clear what was causing the problem, but it seemed to be originating with T-Mobile’s network, the report said.

“Our engineers are working to resolve a voice and data issue that has been affecting customers around the country,” T-Mobile rep Neville Ray said in a tweet. “We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have this fixed shortly.”

AT&T and Verizon said they weren’t having issues with their networks. But Verizon acknowledged in a statement, “We’re aware that another carrier is having network issues. Calls to and from that carrier may receive an error message,” the outlet reported.

Sprint — a subsidiary of T-Mobile — and US Cellular are also experiencing issues, according to the report.
